Children’s Ministry
The Children’s Ministries of Faith BFC seek to partner with parents to assist them in bringing up their children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). We do this by teaching children about the one, true and living God who has made Himself known in the Bible, and by helping them understand the Gospel of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Ultimately, we desire that our children come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so that they can enjoy Worshiping, Walking, and Working for Him throughout their lives.
Nursery
The nursery at Faith provides a safe environment for infants and toddlers up to age 2. Children are introduced to Biblically-based, gospel-centered themes, during a time of singing in the 8:45 hour. Two separate areas allow infants and crawlers/toddlers to be individually cared for by a dedicated staff member and a private room is available for nursing mothers. A pager system is used in order to remain in contact with parents and we place a high priority on security.
Beginners
The Beginner Department at Faith is for children ages 2 through kindergarten. Singing, memorizing Bible verses and prayer time are all a part of our Sunday school and Children’s Church programs. Classes for ages 2 to 3 focus on one theme every month and children ages 4 to 6 work through a two-year curriculum, year one focusing on Old Testament stories and year two on New Testament stories.
Primary
Our Sunday school and Children’s Church ministry uses The Gospel Project© curriculum to teach children that all of Scripture points to Christ, that He is our Creator, our Shepherd, our Strength, our Comforter, our Deliverer, our Savior, and our soon coming King. The Gospel Project© curriculum is a three year course of study, and students are taken from Genesis to Revelation twice over a six year period.
AWANA Club
Welcomes Pre-K (4 years old) – 6th graders, and meets every Wednesday night from September through April. Our Awana Club exists to reach and teach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and train them to serve Him. There are many great events during our Awana year including special nights, Awana Games and Sparks-A-Rama, Quizzing, and the Grand Prix. For more information about Awana, visit the official Awana website or our Faith BFC Awana page.
Vacation bible school
Vacation Bible School is held for one week during the summer. Each year our VBS week is centered on a particular theme which is related to Scripture, and includes Bible lessons, songs, crafts, games, contests and a skit. Children from K – 6th grade are invited to join us for what always turns out to be a great time of fun, and learning about God’s word.
Victory Valley Camp
Victory Valley is a week long summer camp held for kids ages 8-12. Check out the Victory Valley Camp website for more information.
