A Christian man is called to lead—in the home, in the Church, in our communities, and in business. But often we men don't recognize our calling or we hesitate to respond. And what we don't know or don't do, we cannot teach others to know and do. How can men feel confident to lead?
The world’s idea of manhood swings between macho and effeminate caricatures, but the Bible offers God's timeless principles of manhood and leadership. It has been said that men are either in a state of running into a battle or coming out of a battle. How can we prepare for the battles of life that confront us? We can learn from the battles of our past. We rarely see the substance of a man's faith so clearly as in the crucible of war.
The Men’s ministry will be leading a day trip to Gettysburg to study this battle from the past with timeless lessons on what it means to live as a Biblical man of character and values. We will study the life, faith and key decisions of Robert E. Lee, Meade, McPherson, Longstreet, Pickett, Sickles and many more!
This will not be your typical Gettysburg Battlefield Tour. We will be looking at the different battles, commanders, and situations through the lenses of Biblical values and leadership. We will learn about who God calls us to be as men by hearing what the Bible has to say and learn from the examples found on the battlefield.
Character lessons and training in the foundation principles of leadership will help us become what God calls us to be. You won’t want to miss this trip!
